About Us

We are a young Calgary-based social group comprising local business individuals of African heritage and driven by the need to bridge the gap between the different generations (ages and cultures) of business leaders in Alberta.

The Zambezi River is the fourth-longest river in Africa, the longest east-flowing river in Africa, and the largest flowing into the Indian Ocean from Africa. The area of its basin is 1,390,000 square kilometers (540,000 sq. mi), slightly less than half of the Nile's. The 2,574-kilometer-long river (1,599 mi) rises in Zambia and flows through eastern Angola, along the north-eastern border of Namibia and the northern border of Botswana, then along the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe to Mozambique, where it crosses the country to empty into the Indian Ocean.

Its connection to all these Southern African countries is what inspired our name and logo. The convergence of four countries; Zambia, Namibia, Botswana, and Zimbabwe, that all meet at one point of the river (see image) is what has fostered our desire to bring together our cultures, network, and build relationships over 18 holes of beautiful golf across the rocky views of Alberta Canada.
